Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 FE Quietly Arrives In The PH

Samsung’s best phone last year finally comes back

Not keen on shelling out almost 50K for Samsung’s excellent Galaxy Note 8? Well, you’re in luck – the Korean company’s best phone last year (except when it’s catching fire), the Galaxy Note 7, has quietly returned to the Philippines. Samsung’s made no secret about their desire to resell the Galaxy Note 7 once they fix the whole battery catching fire bit, changing up the name and releasing the Galaxy Note 7 FE in Korea in limited numbers.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 FE

  • 2.3GHz Exynos 8890 octa-core processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 2560 x 1440 resolution
  • 64GB of storage (UFS 2.0), expandable via 256
  • 12-megapixel rear camera, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, 4K video capture
  • 5-megapixel front camera, f/1.7 aperture
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Fingerprint scanner, Iris scanner, USB Type C, IP68 Water resistance, S-Pen
  • 3,200mAh battery, fast charging via USB Type-C

We haven’t had any news about the new phone especially since Samsung wanted to focus on their newest baby, the Note 8, but it’s finally here (again) thanks to MemoXpress. The Galaxy Note 7 FE is identical to the one that got pulled off the shelves last year except for a safer, smaller, non-explodey 3200mAh battery.

MemoXpress is pricing the Note 7 FE at Php 32,990. We were expecting a more substantial price drop compared to last year’s model, but if you’ve been looking for a stylus-equipped phone made by Samsung that doesn’t cost 50K, then the Galaxy Note 7 FE might be right up your alley.
