Sony’s latest and greatest will arrive on April
Sony’s most eagerly anticipated flagship, the Xperia Z2, will arrive with a Php 33,990 pricetag when it lands on Philippine shores next month, according to Sony execs speaking during a regional event in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Z2 is the first of the recently announced flagships from major smartphone players that has received an official price tag. While Widget City has begun to take pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 (pricing at at Php 32,990), there’s still no word from Samsung Philippines just how much the new smartphone will be.

Sony’s newest flagship comes just six months after the Japanese company unveiled its predecessor, the Xperia Z1, which is interesting, since other companies wait at least a year before refreshing their flagships. The Xperia Z2 is one of the few smartphones in the world that uses Qualcomm’s newest 801 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, which should make the Z2 one of the fastest smartphones in the world.
