After it was announced last December, TECNO is bringing over the POVA 5G, its first 5G-ready phone, to the Philippines. Like its Camon 18 series, the POVA 5G aims to disrupt the entry-level 5G market with its very competitive price and value-packed features.

Headlining the POVA 5G’s spec sheet is a Dimensity 900 processor that’s paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, making it one of the few phones priced at under Php 15k (more on that later) to have UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. Being part of the POVA series, you get a huge 6.95-inch Full HD+ display with a 120hz refresh rate, along with an equally huge 6000mAh battery with 18w USB-C charging.
Its triple rear camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an AI camera, along with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Android 11-based HiOS.
The TECNO POVA 5G has an official price of Php 12,990, making it competitively priced for a 5G phone in the Philippines. To make that even more compelling, the POVA 5G has a promo price of Php 11,990 from February 14 to 17 in their Shopee store and Php 11,490 on February 14 in their Lazada store.
