A month after its debut at COMPUTEX 2024, TECNO makes the Megabook S1 available in the Philippines with a Php 50k price tag. The new laptop positions itself as a premium version of the MegaBook T1 that came out in 2022.
The variant that’s made available in the Philippines comes with a 12th Gen Core i5 processor–which may be a bit dated at this point but good enough for productivity work.
You do get 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, along with a magnesium alloy body that makes it light at 1.35 kg and only 13.5mm thick–which is not bad for a Php 50k laptop. As a large ultrabook, the MegaBook S1 has a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 3.2k resolution, and keeping the lights on is a 70wHr battery that supports 65w USB-C charging.
The MegaBook S1 also enables screen mirroring via the “OneLeap” Multi-Screen Collaboration feature through NFC with compatible TECNO phones. Other features of the MegaBook S1 include a Full HD webcam, 6 6-speaker system, and a good port selection that includes two USB-C ports, 2 USB-A ports, an HDMI port, a MicroSD card slot, and a headphone jack.
The MegaBook S1 comes in Galaxy Silver and Space Grey colorways with an official price of Php 49,999 and is now available in TECNO stores nationwide.
