Just a few days after TECNO made the Spark 30C official in the Philippines with an under Php 4k starting price, the brand has unveiled the regular Spark 30 in Tanzania. TECNO’s Spark line is known to offer solid value as a budget phone, what makes the Spark 30 interesting is its use of a 64-megapixel IMX682 sensor for the main camera.
This particular sensor was used in flagship killer phones like the Mi 10T, realme GT, and Samsung Galaxy A52s. It’s an intriguing decision from TECNO, especially with the Spark 30 using a Helio G91 processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. There’s a circular camera module at the back, though TECNO did not specify what camera accompanies the 64-megapixel main shooter.
Both black and white colorways have an interesting dual-tone design with a marble-like print on the camera module area. The 6.78-inch display may only have a 90hz refresh rate, but it comes with a Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 800nits—which is high for a budget phone. The punch-hole has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter, and you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Other features of the Spark 30 include a 5000mAh battery with 18w charging, IP64 rating, stereo speakers, and Android 14 out of the box. TECNO has yet to reveal pricing and global availability, but we expect it to be priced anywhere between Php 6k to Php 8k.
