The iQOO Neo8 Pro Debuts the Dimensity 9200+

It seems that only a few brands use MediaTek’s flagship processors these days, with the Dimensity 9200 only appearing on the vivo X90 and X90 Pro. We’re not sure if vivo has exclusive rights to the processor, as their sub-brand iQOO debuts the more powerful Dimensity 9200+ on the Neo8 Pro.

Key improvements on the Dimensity 9200+ include a Cortex-X3 prime core running at 3.35Ghz (from 3.05Ghz), Cortex-A715 performance cores hitting 3Ghz (from 2.85Ghz), and a “17% performance boost” on the Immortalis-G715 GPU. On paper, the Dimensity 9200+ should be able to match (or outdo) the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, but we have to see actual benchmarks to see if this is true.

The Neo8 Pro comes with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, along with a massive 5002mm2 vapor chamber to keep thermals in check.

Being a flagship device, the Neo8 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5k resolution and 144hz refresh rate, along with a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel IMX866 main camera with OIS and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. You also get vivo’s V1+ ISP as well, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 120w charging.

There’s also a non-Pro version as well that rocks a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 instead and uses a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 main camera instead–still with OIS. The ultra-wide is replaced with a filler depth sensor on the vanilla model.

The iQOO Neo8 starts at CNY 2499(~Php 19.8k) for the 12GB/256GB model, while the Pro version starts at CNY 3299(~Php 26.1k) for the 16GB/256GB model.
