itel has proved to everyone that budget phones can have premium curved AMOLED displays with the S23+. Determined to maintain its momentum as a rising brand, itel unveiled another interesting budget phone globally with the A05s. The model name may not be original, but what attracted us to the itel A05s is the back panel design for two of the four color options.
For the yellow and blue colorways, the A05s appears to have a dual-texture design that has the bottom part have a leather-like texture. Granted that it’s just plastic, we give props to itel to making their budget phones look visually appealing.
Being a budget phone, the A05s does come with a USB-C port, which is another plus for this budget phone. The display is a familiar 6.6-inch HD+ panel that itel has used on a number of its budget phones. It comes with Android 13 Go out of the box because of its modest internals: Unisoc SC9863A, 2GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The battery is average at 4000mAh, but itel claims up to 7.5 hours talk time with the A05s.
The price of the A05s appears to be interesting. In India, it has an SRP of Rs 6499 or around Php 4.5k. Given how itel is aggressive when it comes in pricing its products, we will not be surprised it the A05s gets an under Php 4k price tag when it arrives in the Philippines.
