The LG V30 Receives Praise from Game of Thrones’ Director of Photography

Sitting on the Iron Throne of Mobile Videography?

We’ve already gotten our hands on some of the best phones to be released this year and, while we were able to give you a quick review for the LG V30, it has yet to arrive on Philippines shores and our doorstep so we can give you guys a more comprehensive look at this device from the Korean company. It sports some of the best hardware available in the market today, the company’s trademark FullVision display that we first saw on the LG G6, a quad DAC for the audiophiles of the world, and an improved dual camera setup on the back.

One of the big improvements to the cameras is the ability to take videos in Cine Video Mode to give content creators and the like more room to correct footage in post when they’re putting together their video or give you a more cinematic look right out of the gate. We’ve already seen some impressive footage from some of the YouTubers we follow but to drive the point home, it looks like LG put their latest and greatest smartphone in the very capable hands of David Franco — the Director of Photography for Game of Thrones.

The video you see below was shot with the LG V30 and put together by the man himself. Check it out.

In the interview for AdWeek, Franco was asked why the LG V30 to which he replied:

As a DP, I know the importance of video quality, so having a phone that produces rich, high-quality videos conveniently is great. I can say from personal experience that this phone has raised the bar, bringing professional video features to everyone.
