The realme C55 has a Creative Approach to the “Dynamic Island”

After being talked about a few days ago, realme has made the C55 official in Indonesia–and it’s priced at around under Php 11k when converted. While it comes with a conventional punch-hole on its 6.72-inch Full HD+ 90hz IPS display, realme made good use of software with its Dynamic Island-like Mini Capsule Interface.

If you’re not aware, the Mini Capsule transforms the area of the punch-hole into a Dynamic Island when you charge the C55 or when it is running out of battery. realme knows the potential of the Mini Capsule interface, and confirmed that they will be adding additional features like step count and data consumption via an OTA update—and we look forward to see other clever ways of utilizing the Mini Capsule interface.

Outside of the Mini Capsule interface, the C55 is a proper 2023 budget mid-range phone that has a Helio G88 processor that’s paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, along with a 5000mAh battery with support for 33w charging. The latter is a big upgrade for the C-series, with realme committing to equip ALL of its 2023 offerings with at least 33w charging.

Other features of the C55 include a 64-megapixel main camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 8-megapixel selfie camera, NFC, and Android 13-based realmeUI 4.0 out of the box.

The realme C55 is priced at IDR 2,499,000(~Php 9k) for the 6GB/128GB model and IDR 2,999,000(~Php 11k) for the 8GB/256GB model. realme is expected to bring the C55 to the Philippines, so stay tuned to the site to know availability details on the brand’s creative budget mid-range offering.
