We just wrapped up the first half of 2025, and there had been several great releases so far. We’ve previously revealed our favorite budget phones for the first half of 2025, and this time we reveal our top midrange phones in the Php 20k segment. Compared to budget phones, we have a significantly more competitive space in the midrange segment for 2025, and here are five or our favorite models.
Top Php 20k Midrange Phones for 2025 (First Half)
- POCO X7 Pro
- Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+
- TECNO Camon 40 Pro 5G
- Nothing Phone (3a)
- HONOR X9c
POCO X7 Pro – Php 16,999 (8GB/256GB)
POCO is consistent in our best of lists especially with midrange phones and its X series devices. The X7 Pro is another example of a midrange phone that flexes pure performance with its use of a Dimensity 8400 processor, along with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 512GB LPDDR5X storage. A key upgrade with the X7 Pro this year is with the main camera, which has OIS and is one of the most affordable phones to offer 4K recording at 60FPS.
Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+ – Php 17,999 (12GB/256GB)
Infinix surprised everyone this year with a midrange phone that has a periscope camera that can shoot 4K video at 60FPS, and a few key flagship features like fast wireless charging, aluminum frame, a 144hz AMOLED display, and fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage–all for under Php 20,000. The NOTE 50 Pro+ impressed us so much that it can be an affordable option for taking photos and videos at concerts.
TECNO Camon 40 Pro 5G – Php 12,999 (8GB/256GB)
Hear us out on this: while many argue that the CAMON 40 Pro 5G is a downgrade from its predecessor, its lower price tag, more stable processor with the Dimensity 7300, and refined software experience makes it just as good. We like how TECNO focused more on making the CAMON 40 Pro 5G’s software as polished as possible, all while equipping it with good components to make it stand out of the stacked midrange segment.
Nothing Phone (3a) – Php 19,990 (8GB/128GB)
If you have mixed thoughts on the design of the Nothing Phone (3), the Phone (3a) has a more conventional design that we think is aesthetically pleasing. Making the Phone (3a) a great offering is that it is one of the most affordable phones to use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, and its cameras punches above the competition with excellent post-processing a 2x telephoto shooter, making it an excellent all-rounder phone.
HONOR X9c – Php 16,999 (12GB/256GB)
HONOR has been pushing for the durability of its devices, and the X9c nailed the formula: aside from being drop resistant and having an IP65 rating, it’s a champion with battery life thanks to a huge 6600mAh silicon-carbon battery that’s arguably the biggest in its segment. We also give props to HONOR on keeping the X9c well-balanced with its main camera having OIS and 4K video recording, along with a still-capable Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.
That rounds up our top midrange phones at the under Php 20,000 segment for the first half of 2025. Do you think there will be more solid offerings in the second half of 2025?
