Upcoming Snapdragon 875 to make Flagships more Expensive

With the launch of the Snapdragon 865, a big chunk of flagship smartphones has increased their prices over their predecessors, causing brands to opt for the Snapdragon 765G instead to keep prices low. The trend appears to be the same as the upcoming Snapdragon 875, based on a report by IT Home.

According to the article, Xiaomi has pre-ordered the Snapdragon 875 for its upcoming flagship phones. The chip is priced at around $250, making it more expensive than the Snapdragon 865—which costs around $150-160.

With the speculated price hike of the Snapdragon 875, Xiaomi’s future flagship phones will be more expensive than the current asking price for the POCO F2 Pro, Mi 10 series, and Black Shark 3 series.

Rumored specs of the Snapdragon 875 include the use of Cortex-X1 and Cortex-A77 cores, a 1/3/4 core configuration, and an integrated Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
