While we have heard of the V29 Pro, vivo is expected to unveil a vanilla version as well—on top of the previously unveiled V29 Lite—soon. There’s already a teaser video on the V29 series, and details about the alleged vanilla model.
According to reports, the V29 will use a Snapdragon 778G+ processor, which feels more like a side-grade to the Dimensity 7200 found on the V27. The Google Play Console listing also mentioned that it will have 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage—the latter being unusual since the V27 did come with 12GB RAM. It’s battery will be slightly smaller at 4500mAh, but it will support faster 80w charging.
Even if other details about the vivo V27 remain scant, we’re confident that it should have the same great curved AMOLED display and impressive camera hardware that’s found on the V27. Save for a divided opinion on the processor of choice, the V27 should be a competitive mid-range phone when it launches soon.
As to which models might land in the Philippines, our speculation is that we should be getting both the vanilla V29 and Pro version—more emphasis on the latter especially with vivo Philippines accidentally publishing a page talking about some of the V29 Pro’s key features.
