While it has only been 2 months since the V27 series are made official in the Philippines, it seems that vivo is already gearing up for the V29 series, promoting the Pro model on its official website. While you might think that vivo’s product cycle is too fast, the brand did not release any V27 Pro in the Philippines. This does make sense since the only real difference between the regular V27 and Pro model is the processor: the Pro model used a Dimensity 8200, while the regular V27 use a very capable Dimensity 7200.

To save us from guessing, vivo Philippines did reveal a few key specs of the V29 Pro. On the homepage dedicated to it, vivo revealed that the V29 Pro will have a 6.7-inch 120hz curved OLED display with a 50-megapixel front camera, along with a triple rear camera setup that’s led by a 64-megapixel main camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 66w fast charging. vivo Philippines also adds that the V29 Pro will come in a 12GB/256GB variant.

Based on what was revealed, it seems that the V29 Pro will have a lot of similarities with the V27, but it gets a bigger battery and a different main camera. Given that the V27 series was widely based on the China-only S16 series, the V29 series might be based on the S17 series, which is slated to be unveiled in China on May 31.
