It seems that vivo is not yet closing its books on the Y20 series, as the brand announced a new variant in India with the Y20T. While it is very similar to the Y20 and the Y20s G, the Y20T uses a different processor.
vivo Y20T Specs
- Helio G80
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- 6.51-inch IPS LCD, HD+ resolution
- 13-megapixel f/2.2 wide main camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor
- 8-megapixel selfie camera
- 4G, LTE
- WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- 5000mAh battery
- 18w fast charging
- Android 11, Funtouch OS 11.1
Instead of a Snapdragon 460 (used on the Y20 and Y20i) or a Helio G80 processor (used on the Y20s G), the Y20T utilizes a Snapdragon 662 instead. The Snapdragon 662 offers better performance than the Snapdragon 460 and is at par with the Helio G80. While you still get 6GB of RAM, the Y20T settles for a smaller 64GB internal storage.
Save for those differences, you get the same set of features found on all Y20 phones: 6.51-inch HD+ display, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 13-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera, Android 11-based FunTouchOS 11.1, 5000mAh battery, and 18w charging via MicroUSB–yes, there are still phones in 2021 that still use the aging port.
vivo Y20T price
The Y20T is priced at Rs 15,490(~Php 10.5k), which is relatively pricey for a phone that comes with 64GB storage and still uses a MicroUSB port. Nonetheless, the phone will be available at vivo’s online store and all partner stores in India.
