vivo is kicking off 2024 with a new entry-level offering that aims to be a follow up to last year’s Y27. The Y27 is one of the better vivo phones for under Php 10k, and vivo is capitalizing on that for the upcoming Y27s.

While vivo Philippines has yet to reveal details about the Y27s, they gave us a fe hints on what to expect with the Y27s.
One of these hints is a new “green garden” colorway that’s said to emit the “warm glow of the sun shinging through leaves”. We don’t know about the back panel finish, but vivo hinted that the Y27s will have a textured back panel like its predecessor.
Under the hood, the Y27s is going to get more RAM and storage at 8GB and 256GB respectively. It is said to rock a Snapdragon 680 processor, which should offer better performance over the Y27’s Helio G85 processor.
Aside from more powerful internals, vivo Philippines mentioned that the Y27s will have a better display that includes a higher refresh rate at 90hz. And just like its predecessor, the Y27s is expected to rock a 50-megapixel main camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 44w charging.
vivo is expected to reveal official pricing and availability of the Y27s in the coming days, so stay tuned for updates.
