While we know that the V30 Pro will have support for AI smarts, the latest teasers confirm that it will be having three 50-megapixel cameras in the back that all have Zeiss optics. This is the first time that vivo is bringing Zeiss co-branding to its mid-range V series, and it is similar to Xiaomi’s approach of making its Leica co-branding available in its xxT series phones.
What’s intriguing about the V30 Pro is that it has a triple rear camera setup unlike the standard model, and the third camera is a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto camera–another first for the V-series. Since it has Zeiss co-branding, the V30 Pro will be getting features that are formerly exclusive to the X-series. These include Zeiss-style Swirl and Cinematic bokeh for portrait shooting and better color science.
Like the standard V30, the Pro model will also have a 120hz curved AMOLED display and a 5000mAh battery. vivo claims that the V30 series is the slimmest phone to have a 5000mAh battery.
The V30 series will be unveiled in Thailand on February 28, so we should know by then the official specs of the V30 Pro.
