The vivo V50 is now official in India, and confirming with previous rumors it is more of an incremental upgrade over the V40.
The key differences here is the bigger 6000mAh battery that supports 90w charging, along with a shift to a micro-quad-curved design for its 120hz AMOLED display with a higher 4500nits peak brightness and Diamond Shield Glass. Also new is the Ancora Red color option, which is a unconventional color of choice for the V series.
Save for those differences, you still get a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor that’s paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, along with ZEISS-branded cameras that consist of a 50-megapixel main shooter with OIS, 50-megapixel ultrawide with autofocus, and 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. You still get an IP68/69 rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 15-based FunTouchOS 15, with vivo committing to three Android updates and four years of security updates.
The price of the vivo V50 in India are as follows:
- 8GB/128GB – INR 34,999 (~Php 24k)
- 8GB/256GB – INR 36,999 (~ Php 25k)
- 12GB/512GB – INR 40,999 (~Php 28k)
