The Xiaomi 12 Pro is solid proof that the brand wants to step it up and challenge other brands in the premium flagship segment. While it lacks a few key flagship features like an IP rating, Xiaomi wants to prove that its 12 Pro is durable enough that it’ll not succumb to the same fate as the OnePlus 10 Pro. You read that right: Jerryrigeverything is back with a durability test for the Xiaomi 12 Pro and even compared it to the ill-fated OnePlus 10 Pro in his video.

If the YouTube thumbnail does not say it all, the Xiaomi 12 Pro did have a better fate with Jerryrigeverything’s durability test over the OnePlus 10 Pro. Yes, the Xiaomi 12 Pro was able to stay in one piece after Jerryrigeverything subjected it to his well-known bend test–where the OnePlus 10 Pro catastrophically failed.

In the case of the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Jerryrigeverything noted that while he did hear a few pops while trying to bend it, the 2022 Xiaomi premium flagship was able to keep its structural integrity despite experiencing a flex during the bend test.

Considering that the Xiaomi 12 Pro is slightly more affordable than the OnePlus 10 Pro in the Philippines–on top of not having any brand collabs with it–it appears that Xiaomi was able to give their latest premium flagship a structurally-sound design compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro.
