While the buzz recently was with the Redmi Note 12 Pro series that include the Explorer Edition with an insanely fast 210w charging solution, Xiaomi also announced a new laptop with the Book Air 13. Coming in with either a Core i7-1250U or Core i5-1230U processor, both variants come with Iris Xe integrated graphics, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD—in short, you are getting the latest hardware with it.
The Xiaomi Book Air 13 is a 2-in-1 device with its 13.3-inch OLED display that can rotate 360 degrees. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has touchscreen functionality, 2880×1800 resolution, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR 500.
The Book Air 13 has a 4-speaker system that consists of two main speakers and two tweeters, while connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports and a headphone jack. Keeping the lights on is a 58.3wHr battery that supports 65w USB-PD charging. Xiaomi managed to cram all of those in a 12mm thick chassis while keeping the weight at around 1.2kg.
The Core i5 model is priced at CNY 5,999(~Php 48.1k), while the Core i7 model is priced at CNY 6,999(~Php 56.1k). Both models are currently exclusive to China, and there’s no word yet if Xiaomi intends on making the Book Air 13 available in the Philippines.
