Reportedly to have a crazy price
While Xiaomi has released a bunch of phones as of late, all eyes are still set on the company’s flagship phone. Recently, a teaser photo confirms that the Mi 8 (the official name of the phone) will be unveiled on May 31.
Aside from the poster, a leaked slide revealed some of the Mi 8’s key specs, along with its price.
Key specs include a 6.01-inch display, a 3D face recognition system, 2X optical zoom, AI camera, a Snapdragon 845 processor, and a choice between a 6GB/64GB or 8GB/128GB variants. The pricing, if true, is pretty crazy: The 6GB/64GB variant will retail for CNY 27999(~Php 23k), while the 8GB/128GB variant will retail for CNY 3199(~Php 26.3k), making the Mi 8 potentially the cheapest phone sporting a Snapdragon 845 processor.
