Apple Launches Studio Display With 27″ 5K Retina Panel, Php 94K Price

The tech giant from California dropped a lot of bombs on us today, and this is definitely one of the most interesting ones. Apple has officially released the Studio Display, designed to make the most of the new Mac Studio desktop’s raw power from its new M1 chipsets. What does this high-end monitor from Apple have in store for us?

On the outside, it features a slim aluminum design that resembles the spaceship Apple has always gone for in their professional line of devices. A built-in stand can be tilted up to 30 degrees, and connects to the display itself via a metallic hinge. Buyers can opt for another stand from the company with tilt and height options or can be connected to a VESA mount adapter for greater flexibility.

At the center, meanwhile is the stunning 27-inch 5K Retina panel. Apple advertises 600 nits of brightness for its Studio Display which is certainly ideal for indoor use. It’s also embedded with Apple True Tone software, which adjusts the color temperatures depending on the ambient lighting surrounding the device. There is also a nano-texture glass option which minimizes glare for spaces with bright light all around.

Found in the device is the A13 Bionic chipset first seen in the 11th generation of iPhones. It’s still an extremely speedy chip to this day. Its role in the Apple Studio Display is to manage the onboard camera and microphones for optimal video conferencing experiences. The front camera is a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor with the capability to follow you around and keep you at the center of the screen. Capturing audio, on the other hand, are 3 microphones located at various spots along the monitor to deliver your voice in the clearest way possible.

A 6-speaker sound system composed of 2 tweeters and 4 subwoofers lay out the foundations for an immersive all-around experience. With tuning by Dolby Atmos, the Apple Studio Display does its very best to accurately convey crisp highs and rumbling lows to its viewers.

The allocation of ports on the device includes 3 USB-C slots and a Thunderbolt port, with the latter able to fast-charge a MacBook or iPhone with ease.
