As the name suggests, ROG Swift 500Hz sports an extremely high refresh rate of 500Hz. This makes the newest gaming monitor from ASUS the fastest monitor up to date.
Just like the previous model—ASUS ROG 360, the latest model comes with a 24-inch TN panel that features a max resolution of 1080p. The reason for the low resolution is that it’s built primarily for the refresh rate. Needless to say, 1080p is what most gamers demand, together with a high refresh rate.
Moreover, the ASUS ROG Swift 500 Hz comes with a G-Sync Esports mode (with vibrance). It also adopts NVIDIA’s Reflex Analyzer technology.
According to the manufacturer, the display was designed entirely for competitive games such as CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch, and League of Legends. The TN panel is perfect for the job as it provides maximum motion clarity.
NVIDIA, who designed the monitor hand in hand, said:
The Reflex ecosystem is continuing to grow: ASUS debuted the world’s first 500Hz G-SYNC display, the ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz gaming monitor. Acer also launched the Predator X28 G-SYNC display. Meanwhile, Cooler Master introduced the MM310 and MM730 gaming mice with Reflex.
