ASUS ROG Ally EXTREME Price Leaked: BELOW PHP 50K?!

The ASUS ROG Ally seemed to just be an April Fool’s Day joke last month, but all eyes shined bright when the company announced that it’s an actual product bound for release. Now, we have rumors of the price for the top-spec ASUS ROG Ally EXTREME. Here’s the latest scoop.

For those who aren’t aware, the ASUS ROG Ally is a portable gaming device that’s more or less a powerhouse to rival the Steam Deck. It comes with a Full HD, 120Hz IPS panel with a high 1000:1 contrast ratio for those vivid colors. Adding to the immersion are powerful front-firing speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Its beating heart is the custom AMD Ryzen Z1 processor. There are two versions: a regular six-core variant, and an Extreme octa-core setup for hardcore gamers. Both versions utilize a Zen 4 CPU architecture and RDNA 3 graphics.

As for storage, the ROG Ally comes with 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, of which ASUS claims up to 4.5Gb/s transfer speeds. This means that games should load significantly faster on the ROG Ally compared to the competition. If the internal storage is not enough, the ROG Ally is one of the few handheld devices that supports UHS-II MicroSD expansion–this means that it can accept MicroSD cards that have transfer speeds as high as 312Mb/s. ASUS did not scrimp on memory either, as the ROG Ally comes with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM.

The leaked price for the ASUS ROG Ally EXTREME Edition with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is pegged to be around €799 in Europe. That converts to around PHP 48,945 for the highest-end version. With this, we can imagine the base model to be within the PHP 35-40K range.
