Audiophile-Grade: Vivo To Launch The World’s First HiFi TWS Earbuds

Rumors have been spreading that Vivo is preparing to launch the TWS 3 Hifi earbuds, which will be the world’s first audiophile-grade pair. Technologically speaking, it will be above and beyond industry legends like the Sony WF-1000XM4, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, and other options considered to be the best at the moment. What’s the buzz so far?

Based on the statistics, Vivo is looking to equip this pair with a high-performance DAC chip that features a ultra-wideband high-definition unit above 40kHz. On the other hand, its transmission rate of 1.2Mbps is above the averages seen with most wireless options and combats those seen with wired headphones. This is also why most audio enthusiasts prefer wired over wireless – there is noticeable degradation in quality due to compression and other factors.

We’re not saying that a high bitrate will be fully utilized with all songs. There are a bevy of other factors to be taken into consideration: the source files, the apps used for playing/streaming, the source devices, and others. The changes may not be that obvious to untrained ears, especially with one of the other factors acting as a bottleneck. But with audio players and files that do, it’s a big plus.

In a Weibo post, Vivo said the following: “For the tenth anniversary of vivo Hi-Fi, what have we broken through? A major acoustic breakthrough, the original sound immersion experience, vivo’s world’s first true Hi-Fi wireless headset is coming soon!”

We’re definitely looking forward to getting a Vivo Hifi TWS unit in our hands in the future and testing it against current industry leaders.
