Millennials who were addicted to playing Clash of Clans get the biggest surprise, as Netflix announced that they are working on an animated series. This is the latest game that gets a Netflix adaptation following League of Legends Arcane.
“Clash has been a global gaming phenomenon for over a decade–filled with humor, action, and unforgettable characters perfect for an animated series adaptation. We’re bringing all the fun, chaos, and spirit of the world of Clash to life in a whole new way. We can’t wait for fans–old and new–to experience the mayhem,” Netflix VP of Animation Series John Derderian said.
From what was revealed so far, Entergalactic director Fletcher Moules will handle the series, who has previously directed animated Clash of Clans videos for Supercell. Ron Weiner, who is known for Arrested Development and Futurama, will write the series, while ICON Creative Studio serves as its animation studio.
While a Netflix show is surprising, this isn’t the first Clash of Clans animated series. Back in 2016, there was a YouTube series called Clash-A-Rama! The Series that amassed a cult following. There’s no follow-up to the series since then. As for the game itself, Supercell had three Clash of Clans spin-off games in its plans back in 2021, but only Project R.I.S.E. has survived.
