Converge’s New FiberX Plans Have a Shorter 6 or 12-Month Term

After expanding its affordable Fiber offerings with BIDA Fiber and Surf2Sawa, Converge updates its FiberX offerings with a contract-free option.

You’d probably wonder why Converge is offering a contract-free option for its FiberX plans, and the reason is simple: Converge wants to accommodate subscribers who are renting in condominiums, apartments, and the like so that they get to enjoy a good internet connection without the the hassle.

“These plans are tailored to offer seamless internet access without the typical constraints of long-term commitments and complex application and billing processes,” Converge Chief Commercial Officer Benjamin Azada explains in a press release. “Our no-contract term plan is perfect for renters because we’ve removed the worry of their connectivity contract period not being in line with their rental contracts, giving them more freedom and flexibility,” Azada adds.

Pricing for the contract-free FiberX Plans are different: customers can choose either a 6-month or 12-month term, and the cashout is made upfront. For the 6-month term, the most affordable offering is HomeBase 1899, which gives you up to 300Mbps with a price of Php 18,394. For the 12-month term, a year of FiberX 1500–which offers up to 200Mbps, is priced at Php 25,000.

While that may look very expensive upfront, Converge promises that its contract-free FiberX plans frees its customers with concerns about billing. Aside from that, those opting to get their 12-month plans actually get one month free. In addition, there are no termination or cancellation fees to worry about. In addition to those perks, those going for the more expensive plans also get a WiFi 6 modem as part of the package.
