Converge is having a great 2023 so far: aside from launching its Bida Fiber postpaid service, Converge is proud to announce that it has surpassed two million subscribers as of September 2023.
The milestone also meant that Converge garnered an additional 225,000 subscribers for the third quarter of 2023–which translates to an 82% increase from the same period last year.
While the majority of new subscribers came from its FiberX flagship service, both Surf2Sawa and Bida Fiber also contributed to Converge’s new subscribers. “We expect these more affordable broadband products to jointly contribute a million subscribers by 2025 – that’s how warm the reception has been and how confident we are in their prospects for continued growth,” Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy said.
All of these positive news contributed to Converge’s increase in consolidated revenues, which is at 7% by the end of September 2023 at Php 26.25 billion. Part of this revenue growth is a growth in Converge’s residential business at 5.2% year-on-year at Php 22.5 billion.
The growth in Converge’s residential business is also attributed to the expansion of FiberX in different areas in North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while Surf2Sawa and Bida Fiber are continuing their expansion in Central Luzon, South Luzon, and Metro Manila.
“We’ve invested ahead in our network so all these new connections are accretive to us. Our goal now is to further increase the utilization of our fiber network which is the broadest in the country,” Converge President Maria Grace Uy said.
