IT has been a good 2024 for DITO, and they are set to end the year with a significant milestone: as revealed by DITO CEO Eric Alberto during its year-end Thanksgiving, DITO is proclaimed the fastest mobile network in the Philippines by Opensignal, where it dominated in 14 categories and outranked rivals Globe and Smart.

“I’m honored to share with all of you that independent mobile analytics Opensignal awarded DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, where we excelled in the speed race. These milestones are not just accomplishments nor mere awards; they are reflections of DITO’s dedication and affirm the strength and reliability of our network,” Alberto said.

Based on Opensignal’s October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report, DITO stood out, with its key awards include having the fastest 5G speeds and the best 5G overall experience. DITO’s 5G download speeds have an average of 287.2Mbps, beating Smart’s 147.5Mbps and Globe’s 95.2Mbps. The same goes for overall download speeds, with DITO boasting an average of 34.6Mbps—beating Smart and Globe at 28.6 Mbps and 20.9 Mbps respectively.

Aside from those milestones, Alberto is proud to announce that DITO completed its fifth and final technical audit with 86.3% coverage, along with having 14 million subscribers and being recognized by Ookla as the Top Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines for Q3-Q4 2023 and Q1-Q2 2024.
