Google Pixel 7 Pro Is Now Smartphone Camera King Of DxOMark

As we all know, many people use DxOMark scores as the rubric on whether or not a smartphone camera is impressive or not. These tests are performed in controlled environments with laboratory methods, lending to their credibility. Looking at the ranking of devices there right now clearly shows how smartphone technology has improved drastically over the years. Well, the newly-released Apple iPhone 14 Pro stood as the king of the hill for a solid two weeks. Now it’s been dethroned by none other than the all-new Google Pixel 7 Pro.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro has a lot of specs that back it up. Part of this is the all-new Tensor G2 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and a 120Hz 6.7-inch Quad HD+ LTPO Curved pOLED display wrapped in Gorilla Glass Victus. Let’s not forget about the advantages of Google’s software. Camera specifications are as follows: 50-megapixel f/1.85 ISOCELL GN1 main camera with OIS and laser autofocus, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 48-megapixel f/3.5 telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and OIS.

Many have raved about its stellar optical performance but these needed to be put in a more objective test to verify the claims. Now, DxoMark has proven the Google Pixel 7 Pro and its superiority in this field by ranking it #1 overall.

This places it in an elite tier especially since the Google Pixel 7 Pro also ranks #2 in the DxOMark Display category. That, especially at its introductory price of $899 USD, is a modern-day tech steal. It appears that many people have realized this as well and ordered. This could be one of the best-selling Pixel devices as of late, due to its mainstream appeal and blazing-hot media reception so far.
