Joining the arrival of the Huawei MatePad 11.5 in the Philippines is the more premium MatePad Air, which offers LTE connectivity and a Snapdragon 888 processor for a price of Php 38k. While it has the same 11.5-inch display as the MatePad 11.5, the MatePad Air has a faster 144hz refresh rate and a higher resolution 2800×1840 resolution.
The MatePad Air arriving in the Philippines will have 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, and it comes with a bigger 8300mAh battery that supports faster 40w wired charging. Its USB-C port supports 3.2 speeds, so you can connect the MatePad Air to an external display.
Despite the bigger battery, the MatePad Air’s main selling point is that it is thin at 6.4mm, making it one of the thinnest tablets on the market. Like the MatePad 11.5, you also get a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, and a 4-speaker system, along with HarmonyOS 3.1 out of the box.
