Huawei Philippines Launching Flagship Products On July 6

Huawei Philippines is teasing the launch of a bunch of flagship products for the Philippines on July 6, and it’s not just going to be a phone.

According to the teaser sent by Huawei’s PR firm in the Philippines, the products look to include a smart TV, their MateView GT gaming monitor, MatePad Pro tablet, a new smartwatch, a new phone, and smart speakers.

The launch of their new products coincides with their global product announcements of their new Watch 3 smartwatch, as well as the global rollout of their new, OS, HarmonyOS.

While Huawei didn’t specify any of the products that will roll out by the 6th, the date may be the official launch for their new flagship series, the P50, in the Philippines. Huawei traditionally announces their P-series flagship around April-May each year, though that release schedule has been impacted by the pandemic, with the official global announcement pegged a few days before the event on July 2.

It seems like Huawei is banking on the software integration of HarmonyOS across its entire product stack as a selling point for their new products, as all devices that are scheduled to be released will have some sort of interoperability and connectivity. Their MatePad Pro 12.6 for example, can easily swap files and photos to and from their MateBook laptop line and to any device that has HarmonyOS or EMUI without users having to jump through multiple hoops to do so.

We’ll see what Huawei Philippines has in store for us by the time they launch their flagship products on July 6.
