If your vehicle is due for registration this month, then we have good news for you. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is extending the registration validity of vehicles with plates ending in zero (0).
LTO posted a public advisory, on their official Facebook page, announcing the extended validity of registration for motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 0. It is now valid until December 31, 2021.
In addition, they also extended the validity of Student Permits, Driver’s Licenses, Conductor’s Licenses, and even Medical Certificates expiring at the end of this month.
According to the agency, they considered the ongoing Quarantine Restrictions in the country hence the extension.
However, they are reminding the public to follow safety protocols when heading to an LTO office. This is to avoid inconveniences and prevent the further spread of the Covid-19 virus.
A few months ago, LTO further extended the registration deadline of cars with plates ending in 5, 6, and 7. Along with this, they also extended the registration validity of vehicles with plates ending in 8 and 9.
With the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our situation here in the country, it is likely that the LTO will continue to extend the registration deadline to stick to the health protocols and social distancing guidelines mandated by the Government and the Department of Health (DOH). Again, just follow the safety protocols if you do decide to go out and fix your LTO registrations.
