LTO Further Extends Registration Deadline for Plates Ending in 5, 6, and 7

If your vehicle is due for registration then this is some good news for you:  Land Transportation Office (LTO) has once again extended the registration deadline of cars with plates ending in 5, 6, and 7. Yes, this is for the second time, although this announcement didn’t come as a surprise.

LTO Further Extends Registration Deadline for Plates Ending in 5, 6, and 7 Again

On their official Facebook page, LTO announced that cars with plates ending in 5 and 6 will have an extended registration validity until September 30, 2021. Meanwhile, for those with plates ending in 7, registration will remain valid until October 31, 2021. The agency is just reminding the public once again to follow strict safety protocols when heading to any LTO office.

LTO did not specify the reason on the said Facebook post.

Therefore, it is safe to assume that they are extending it once again due to the recent implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in many parts of the country, including Metro Manila.

Take note that the registration validity of vehicles with plates ending in 8 and 9 have also been extended until the end of October and November, respectively.

With the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our situation here in the country, it is likely that the LTO will continue to extend the registration deadline to stick to the health protocols and social distancing guidelines mandated by the Government and the Department of Health (DOH).  Just do not forget to follow safety protocols if you do decide to go out and fix your LTO registrations.
