Man Builds Custom Power Bank With 27 million mAh

Even the biggest power bank can’t satisfy Chinese social media star Handy Geng, so he set out to build a massive, custom power bank that has 27 million mAh, enough juice to power his phone, laptops, appliances, and even his washing machine all at the same time.

The project involved welding a large, 5.9-feet by 3.9-feet custom frame to contain the heart of the project, which looks to be a battery taken from a Tesla. Because of the mind-numbingly high current and dangerous voltages that needed to be stepped down to safe levels. While he doesn’t explicitly say it in the YouTube video documenting the entire process, it looks like he also uses a Tesla (or equivalent) battery management system and charging components to make his project work, which isn’t exactly cheap.

The icing on the cake is the fact that Geng built the massive battery into the shape of a typical power bank that you usually see for sale everywhere, with the obvious difference being the size.

The completed project has 60 power sockets in total, and is able to charge 5,000 phones with 3,000mAh batteries. It also has a 220V output, which means you can plug in regular appliances like TVs, electric induction cooker pot as well as a washing machine without too much trouble, which isn’t surprising since this is a custom power bank with 27 million mah inside of it.
