OPPO Expects to Take the Lead in the Foldables Market

As people have more options for foldable devices, the demand for this new form factor is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years. There’s a good basis for that, as Counterpoint’s latest study reveals that the market for foldables is expected to grow by more than double in 2025 compared to 2022. OPPO is also confident that it will be the leader in the foldables market in the next few years.

The exponential growth for foldables is very plausible at this point, as more brands are launching foldable phones at a more accessible price point. Two notable examples of this are the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which is the most affordable flip foldable phone available in the Philippines at under Php 50k, and the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold, which is the most affordable tablet foldable at under Php 60k. Both foldable devices are proof that people can enjoy the unique form factor at a price point that’s usually reserved for premium flagships (under Php 60k).

With global foldable smartphone shipments forecasted to reach 55 million units by 2025, OPPO intends to be a leader in foldables by making its foldable phones available in more countries. It has been successful with the aggressive pricing of the Find N2 Flip, and OPPO intends to follow that through with the Find N3 Flip.

If the Find N2 Flip has set the benchmark for having a cover display that’s large enough to be functional, the Find N3 Flip is expected to focus on cameras. Aside from the Hasselblad branding, the Find N3 Flip is the first flip foldable to have a triple rear camera setup that includes a portrait telephoto shooter. After making its debut in China last August 29, the Find N3 Flip is set to arrive in global markets soon, and we hope that it has the same aggressive pricing as its predecessor.
