Well, that might just change with the updates for the realme 10 lineup of smartphones which are pegged to cost a fraction of that. In fact, the base realme 10 starts at PHP 13K. For these devices realme has promised three years of software updates. That’s even more for what they’ve offered for more expensive devices before. That’s definitely a gamechanger that could increase the useful life of your device.

It still remains unknown whether or not the security updates will be set at three or four years, but an improvement in the field is welcomed nonetheless.
