Ahead of its highly-anticipated 11.11 Mega Pamasko Sale, Shopee hosted a Creators Night last October 29 at BSK Club, Taguig, where it highlighted how it is helping content creators navigate through the digital marketplace.
Among the many ways Shopee is helping content creators is through its Affiliate Program, where it rewards registered Shopee affiliates with a small commission every time someone orders an item they promote.
“It’s amazing that I get to share the quality, legitimate items I buy from Shopee with my followers and earn a commission at the same time,” Content Creator Sharlaine Andal said.
“What’s even better is the sense of community I found with my fellow affiliates,” Andal adds. “It’s not about competition, but about having fun promoting great products at great prices together.”
Shopee’s Affiliate Program has experienced a massive 600% year-on-year growth in new affiliates compared to 2023, which further highlights the value of creators in driving traffic and boosting conversion rates to sales. For the recent 9.9 Sale, Shope credited its Affiliate Program in facilitating millions of transactions thanks to personal recommendations and honest product reviews from content creators.
Aside from its Affiliate Program, Shopee also has Shopee Live and Shopee Video. The former has grown with over 60% in viewership year-on-year, while the latter has creators producing as much as 10x more content on the platform in the first quarter of 2024.
One of the best examples of this is content creator Maria Jhazelle, who is also known as Callieszn in Shopee. From transitioning into full-time streaming, she has gained over 1.1 million followers and doubled her earnings in 2024. On top of that, her streams on Shopee Live helped her increase daily sales by as much as 62%.
Another reason why Shopee is a go-to place for buying outfits is its assortment of brands available on its platform including established international brands like Cole Haan, Jag, Lee, and Forever 21 to trendy up-and-coming labels like Lovito, and Tala by Kyla.
With the upcoming 11.11 Mega Pamasko Sale, Shopee once again invites content creators to seize this opportunity–especially with eCommerce in the Philippines projected to grow to $30 Billion by 2027.
