Following the partnership of Converge and Sky, along with the announcement that regional Sky subscribers getting a big upgrade, Sky has recently updated its fiber plans for 2024 on its site–which is now called TruFiber.
With the new plans for 2024, Sky TruFiber starts at Plan 999, which offers speeds of up to 75Mbps. For comparison, Sky’s old Sky Fiber plans only offered 50Mbps at Plan 999. Moving up to Plan 1500, TruFiber now offers 200Mbps download speeds, which is a big upgrade over its old Plan 1699 from 2022, which only offered a paltry 75Mbps.
If the plan offerings look familiar, that’s because TruFiber’s Plans are based on Converge’s FiberX Plans, with the only difference being the Plan 7499 1Gbps plan being exclusive to Converge. If you’re a Sky subscriber, the best TruFiber plan that you can avail of is Plan 3500, which offers speeds as high as 800Mbps.
The same goes for TruFiber’s Day or Night Plans, which are also based on Converge’s Time of Day Plans as well–down to the promised speeds.
While that means good news for those who are subscribed to Sky’s internet plans, the same can’t be said for Sky Cable subscribers. We were told that the current Sky Cable plans will be phased out for Sky TV, and it’s not yet clear if existing Sky Cable subscribers will transition to Sky TV.
