The current-generation Ford Territory is undoubtedly a beloved vehicle in the Philippines. It’s currently the best-selling small SUV locally, and has sold well over 15,000 units at this point. Shockingly, it also holds a majority market share at 51% flexing its dominance over its competitors. But the blue oval isn’t done just yet. The brand isn’t planning to rest on it’s laurels – and that’s why the next-generation Ford Territory will soon be available on our shores. Let’s take a look at it.
From the outside, the next-gen vehicle retains the characteristics that made the outgoing model so popular. It’s a perfect size for a city crawler that isn’t difficult to drive or park in tight spaces. Following modern design trends, the grille is as large as ever which gives it somewhat of a commanding presence. This is accentuated well by its LED Headlights, and the vehicle sits pretty on 18-inch alloy wheels.
These efforts to spice up the exterior also carry over to the inside of the cabin. Despite its deceptively compact body, the brand claims that the interior has been engineered to be airy and spacious. It’s also filled to the brim with modern amenities, such as power-adjustable two-tone seating, a 7-inch digital cluster, 12-inch center display capable of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charger to top up your devices.
Dual-zone A/C control also ensures that things will remain cool here. The Ford Territory might be an amazing place to see more of the Philippines in.
Under the hood, you have a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine outputting 160PS mated to a seven-speed slushbox automatic. It also has 248Nm of torque, so this should carry considerable oomph.
Newer drivers don’t need to fret either. Parking assistance comes in the form of the high-tech suite known as Active Park Assist. It boasts 360-degree cameras and even self-parking into parallel or perpendicular spots to get it right each and every time. Need to stop? The brakes automatically end the entire process – giving the user complete control. Other notable safety features include Electronically-Assisted Power Steering, Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, six SRS airbags, and others.

Based on currently-available information, the latest Ford Territory will release only in the high-spec Titanium variant. The starting price is set at PHP 1,335,000 with an included 5-year warranty.
