Our inbox is chock-full of you guys asking us for our take on what smartphone to purchase at certain price points. Given that we all know that a lot of us often wait for the year-end bonuses to kick in before our next smartphone purchase, here’s a list of smartphones you may want to check out if you’ve alloted around Php 10,000 for your next buy.
The Cloudfone Next is just a peso shy of hitting the ceiling of the budget, but has all the right stuff internally to make it worth a look. Under the hood the Cloudfone Next sports the current darling SoC of the mid-ranged segment, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. It’s paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and has a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3. The 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera are decent perofrms as well. The Cloudfone Next is priced at Php 9,999.
If you haven’t noticed, a lot of our photos and videos that do not feature smartphones will often have the Vivo V3 as the device paired with it. We’ve been using it as our daily driver for the greater part of the year and it’s proven to be a great companion. It has a Snapdraon 616 processor that’s paired with 3GB of RAM and 32G of storage under the hood. It’s cameras definitely get a thumbs up too. Initially priced at Php 11990, the Vivo V3 now sits within the 10k budget at its new SRP of Php 9,990.
Cherry Mobile Flare X2
The Cherry Mobile Flare X, despite being a phone from last year, still has a pretty loyal fan base; making it hard to leave out its successor in this list. The Cherry Mobile Flare X2 has a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, as well as 4GB fo RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5.5-Inch Full HD IPS Display protected by Dragon Trail glass. The Cherry Mobile Flare X2 is priced at Php 7,999; making it the most affordable on this list so far. Fans of the Flare X should definitely shouldn’t skip out taking a look at this one.
Xiaomi Mi Max
You seriously didn’t think we would leave out Xiaomi from this list, did you? The Xiaomi Mi Max is currently available at Widget City for Php 9500 for the base model, it’s well within the budget we’ve set for this list. With a screen size of 6.44-inches, the Xioami easily wins out in terms of screen size and it features a Snapdragon 650 at its core with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. We haven’t had the chance to try out the Mi Max ourselves, but have been hearing mostly good things.
ASUS Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL
We’re going to stretch a little beyond the budget we’ve set, because the little bump is definitely worth it with the 5.5-Inch version of the ZenFone 3 Max. The 5.2-Inch ZF3 Max is only Php 8995 and while its leaps and bounds better than the original Zenfone Max, we really believe that 5.5-inch provides the most value in the entire ZenFone 3 lineup. As with most of the smartphones in this list, it also has a Snapdragon 430 under the hood with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The main difference here, of course, is its 4100mAh battery that lasts around 2 days with moderate use.
So there you have it, 4 smartphones for those who have a Php 10,000 budget and 1 that calls for you to stretch it out a little bit.
