Huawei nova 10 Pro Specs:

  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB/256GB storage
  • 6.78-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display, 10-bit color, 120hz refresh rate
  • 50-megapixel f/1.9 RYYB main camera with PDAF, 8-megapixel f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera

Looking at the devices, this is more of an improvement than an entirely new iteration. The vanilla Huawei nova 10 gains a screen size increase of 0.1 inches, bumping it up to 6.67. Besides that, technology remains the same with OLED and the 120Hz refresh rate stays. The main gripe we had with the nova 9’s screen was a minor one that could easily be fixed in the settings. Hopefully, the nova 10 now comes out of the box with a vivid, more color-accurate setting to show off what its hardware is capable of.

Another noticeable difference is the bump in resolution for the selfie camera, from 32 to 64 megapixels. That is a noticeable increase, but as we all know, pixel count isn’t everything. Thankfully we’ll get a taste of new in-house imaging technology from XMAGE in its debut performance. Battery size does come down to 4,000 mAh from 4,300, so we’re sure they performed some software tweaks to squeeze out a bit more life from the device.

Besides those, the processor remains the same with the Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset carrying the load. A hearty 8GB of RAM also comes supplied with options for 128 or 256GB of storage. The device can be unlocked with the in-display fingerprint scanner and topped up with 66W fast charging. Installed on the software side is HarmonyOS 2.

As for the Huawei nova 10 Pro, the screen size gets even larger at 6.78-inches, while the battery is now at 4,500 mAh. Two selfie cameras now reside in the top portion of the screen, with an 8-megapixel shooter joining the fray. Apart from those changes, the smartphone retains the qualities of its sibling.

We’ll let you know regarding availability should there be future announcements.
