ZTE‘s nubia line just got a new member of the roster, and it’s the mid-range Neo 2 5G that’s making its entry in the Philippines. This device is the successor to last year’s nubia Neo, which is a product series more aimed at gamers with its design, features, and even battery capacity at affordable price points.
It sports shoulder triggers with custom mapping to further help you ace your play, as well as an updated Game Space 2.0 hub that can help you improve your phone’s gaming performance, enhance it with different sound effects, and toggle key system features while you’re deep down on your game. A heat dissipation system is also in place to make sure your phone doesn’t get all the heat when the game is at its peak. The design of the device, too, looks and feels sci-fi with the Hero Eye design, hexagonal protruding dual cameras, and a robotic-themed metallic-looking finish in three different colorway designs, Storm Gray, Sunfire Yellow, and Frost Silver.
It also has a 6000mAh battery capacity with 33 watts of fast charging and offers a bypass mode where it will keep the phone powered up but without charging the battery. This system allows the gamer to keep playing and the phone working while reducing heat generation.
Under the hood, the Neo 2 has a 6nm UNISOC T820 chip, which is slightly higher in benchmark performance compared to MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset. It also has 8GB of RAM with up to 12GB of additional expanded VRAM, 256GB of internal storage, a 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, Dual SIM with dual-5G switching, and dual stereo speakers with support for DTS:X Ultra spatial sound feature for a more surround audio experience.
The ZTE nubia Neo 2 is priced at Php 9,999 and is now available at ZTE authorized stores nationwide.
