As a follow up to its efforts towards vaccinating its drivers and delivery partners, Grab’s GrabBayanihan initiative expands further with GrabCar Bayanihan 2-seater. This initiative is part of Grab’s desire to ensure its customers have easier access to vaccination sites through its services.
The program was initially rolled out in Quezon City, where over a thousand vaccinated driver-partners are ready to accommodate passengers to vaccination sites. Aside from Quezon City, Grab expects its GrabCar Bayanihan program to cover other areas like Manila, Las Pinas, Taguig, Pasig, Makati, Pateros, and Marikina. Grab is also coordinating with other LGUs to extend its GrabCar Bayanihan service so that it can help more residents commute safely to vaccination centers.
“By working together with our local government partners in Metro Manila on their COVID vaccination efforts, we play our part in ensuring that our kababayans are safe, well, and healthy – and we look forward to working on the same goals with the rest of our national and local government partners,” Grab Philippines Country Head Grace Vera Cruz said.
Aside from these efforts, Grab also provided its partners with pre-and post-vaccination telemedical consultations to help identify the comorbidity status of its drivers and delivery partners, on top of shouldering vaccination costs of its partners not covered by the national vaccination program.
To support the livelihood of its partners, Grab also teamed up with Rexona through its Hero Mover program, where it rewards top-performing riders with rewards. It also has a Groceries For Your Rider Feature that lets users order groceries and other daily essentials for their delivery partners whenever they place their own orders on GrabMart.
