General Zod… Unboxed! (that sounded weird
We expanded our Play Arts Action Figure collection in the last few days and one of our most recent purchases is General Zod from Man of Steel! Unlike the first three that we featured here from DC Variant (Wonder Woman, Batman, and Green Lantern), this one is more of a faithful reproduction of the actual character in the film. They gave it the same level of incredible detail though with Zod making him an awesome collectible!
Other than the action figure, there are several exchangeable parts in the box including the head with a helmet on, a back plate to replace the cape (if you don’t want the cape), and two open hands (L-R). You can easily switch them depending on what pose you wanna strike with Zod.
In terms of flexibility, the arms are a bit hard to pose and extend. The legs are easier to position but bending the knee fully exposes the black joint which is rather unsightly. This is something that we didn’t see with the DC Variant action figures. Other than that General Zod is a great action figure and one that you would just love to take photos of in different poses, especially if you have his arch nemesis — the Play Arts Kai Man of Steel Superman.

The Play Arts Kai Man of Steel General Zod action figure is still available in a few Data Blitz stores for Php2,950. Other stores have started selling it already for around Php4,000 since stocks are going dangerously low.
