By now, everyone already knows that the world is eagerly awaiting the launch of the next-generation iPhone on September 7. Android giant Samsung knows of this and recently released a short, 30-second video on YouTube to air out its thoughts on the topic. As you may have already read in the title, Samsung essentially called out Apple once again.

Summarized briefly, Samsung used the commercial to bring their flagship devices into the spotlight. This includes the renowned Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Z Flip4. They went on to flex the “highest-resolution camera on a smartphone” with the S22U’s 108-megapixel main sensor. They also discussed the social aspect with the clout that those 100x Space Zoom shots are getting, since we all know by now that iPhones can’t perform the same camera feats that the Samsung Galaxy devices can.

These may be gimmicks in your eyes. And sometimes, we’d have to agree too. But the hard truth is what Samsung lays out at the end of the video: “This innovation is not coming soon to an iPhone near you. It’s already here in the Galaxy.” That single line is an upfront mention by Samsung of the upcoming Apple iPhones. We’re looking forward to seeing if Apple will clap back soon, or if they’ll let their device do the talking on the 7th. We could even see an all-out war by the time the S23 Ultra makes its appearance.

This isn’t the first time Samsung has poked fun at Apple. They released an advert in 2017 essentially flexing all the features they had at the time that Apple already dropped. However, some of these changes were eventually adopted into Samsung devices as well. That includes dropping the headphone jack, lack of waterproofing, wireless charging, losing the microSD card slot, and more recently not including a charger in the box. The South Korean company even deleted some of its posts later on due to these changes.

We’re hoping that Samsung won’t have to bite its tongue once again.
