The Php 10,000 to Php 20,000 price point is among the biggest segments in the Philippines, with the majority of Filipinos finding it the ideal price point for a new phone. This segment covers the lower midrange segment, and we at Unbox think that 2024 has several good models in this segment.
As we wrap up 2024, we pick our top lower midrange phones. Like our previous Unbox Picks, this list has no particular order, as we’re still working on which phone deserves to be the best in the lower midrange segment.
Unbox Picks for Top Lower Midrange Phones (2024)
- Infinix GT 20 Pro
- CMF Phone 1
- HONOR X9b
- realme 13+
- POCO X6 Pro
Infinix GT 20 Pro
We’ve been waiting for Infinix to bring over their GT series to the Philippines, and the GT 20 Pro is one of the most affordable performance-focused phones you can buy. Beyond its gamer-inspired aesthetics and fancy RGB lighting is a Dimmensity 8200 processor that’s paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1, making it a solid option for gaming, As an icing on the cake, the GT 20 Pro has better-than-usual camera performance with its ISOCELL HM6 sensor with OIS.
CMF Phone 1
Modular designs are intriguing, and we think the CMF Phone 1 did a great job with its interchangeable back panels and attachment points for other accessories. It’s an idea that’s out of the box–and something we would like to see in more phones this 2025. It’s also a decent performer as well with its use of a Dimensity 7300 processor that once again proves that MediaTek’s midrange chips have been getting better in the past few years, and a clean UI that’s practically free of unnecessary bloatware.
HONOR X9b
HONOR strikes again with the X9b with its reputation of being both durable and premium looking. The X9b improves on the overall durability that was well-regarded with its predecessor and steps things up with a better main camera and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor that balances performance and battery life–and still gives the X9b the ability to shoot 4K video. It’s one of the top-selling phones according to MemoXpress–and we all agree that HONOR did a great job with the X9b.
realme 13+
Aside from the GT6, the 13+ is realme’s other offering that’s more focused on performance–at a lower price point. Powered by a Dimensity 7300 processor paired with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB RAM, the realme 13+ is a stellar performer when it comes to gaming–and realme made it even more interesting with additional software tweaks to maximize performance. Beyond gaming, the realme 13+ has a solid main camera with the use of an LYT600 sensor for the main camera–and even has OIS.
POCO X6 Pro
POCO is known for delivering incredible performance on their midrange phones, and the X6 Pro is one of their best executions to date. Aside from boasting LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage at under Php 20,000, what makes the X6 Pro shine further is the incredible performance the Dimensity 8300 has to offer. We’ve played several games with it at its highest settings, and the X6 Pro’s gaming performance can match more expensive phones.
Stay tuned to the site as we reveal our top lower midrange pick for 2024 in the coming days.
