Android Oreo Go Edition Phones to Make Debut at MWC 2018

Stock Android Experience Goes Lite

There’s a lot of hype surrounding Mobile World Congress and it’s safe to say that most of us are waiting for the big announcements at one of the biggest mobile tech shows in the world. While most eyes will be glued to the big ticket items, it’s comforting to know that those looking for budget devices that run well will have something to look forward to as well.

Google just announced that the first phones to be rocking the Go Edition of Android Oreo will be introduced at the halls of Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.

The trimmed down version of the OS will ship with devices with entry-level spec sheets but Google says that it will run 15-percent faster in terms of app performance and that pre-installed software won’t take up as much room as well. Aside from the Go Edition of the popular OS, some of their partners are slated to release new smartphones in the Android One initiative so, if you’ve been craving for a stock Android experience, we’ll be happily walking around the halls to see which brands you should be taking a note of for your next purchase.
