Audio-Technica launched the new Retro Series ATH-RE70 September last year. The design is actually based on the ATH-2 model which was introduced over 30 years ago! Talk about Retro right? Anyway, personally I love the design. The ATH-RE70 has the following: leather headband, earpads, stick slider headband, and a universal swiveling earcup design. It was made for both comfort and style so it’s really right up my alley (combine that as well with the excellent sound quality).
With regards to the sound quality, the RE70 is great for tracks that maximize reverb like dance, disco, and concerts. It’s my headphones of choice for listening to my concert DVD collection (Sting and Justin Timberlake sound great on these cans). If you’re into rock though then you might want to consider the Marshall Major Headphones.
It comes in two colors: white and black. If you want a more standard look go for the black but if you want something more stylish then the white with brown pads is perfect for you.
