Best Processors for Php 20k Midrange Phones (2025)

Best Processors for Php 20k Midrange Phones (2025)

When it comes to phones, one of the first things consumers look at is the processor powering it. It is a top priority of consumers, as processors run the entirety of the phone–from operating the cameras, running games, and managing through multiple apps and software features. We’ve just kicked off 2025, and we have a good baseline of the best processors for midrange phones at the under Php 20k segment.

For this list, we will talk about our top processor picks, and the midrange phones (under Php 20k) that you can buy using the said chip. Do note that our list focuses on midrange phones that you can buy new in 2025, so old flagship phones are not included in this list.

Best Processors for Php 20k Midrange Phones (2025)

  • Dimensity 8300/8400
  • Dimensity 8200
  • Dimensity 7300
  • Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
  • Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

Dimensity 8300/8400

We lumped the Dimensity 8300 and 8400 together as only POCO offers them with the X6 Pro and X7 Pro respectively. Both processors are cutting edge in the sense that they can match Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in terms of performance. That’s very impressive, as phones that use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 are used on upper midrange phones–those priced at the Php 30k bracket.

What makes both Dimensity 8300 and 8400 great is that they allow you to play demanding mobile games at the highest possible graphics with 60FPS enabled.

Dimensity 8200

While it is a 2-year old chip, there are more options for Php 20k midrange phones using this such as the Infinix GT20 Pro and the TECNO Camon 30 Pro 5G. Initially used for upper midrange phones, the presence of the Dimensity 8300 and 8400 meant that the Dimensity 8200 will be more affordable, making it available on phones priced at under Php 20k.

Like its younger siblings, the Dimensity 8200 can run demanding games at the highest possible graphics, though we highly advised to cap the FPS at 30 for smooth gameplay.

Dimensity 7300

A successor to the Dimensity 7050, the Dimensity 7300 is a solid pick if you’re after a phone that balances other features. It’s a decent performer for games based on our experience with the realme 13+, and more brands are using this midrange chip–one of them being the CMF Phone 1, POCO X7, and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

While it is at a lower tier than Dimensity 8xxx series processors, the Dimensity 7300 is proven to run games like Genshin Impact at high graphics and with 60FPS enabled smoothly.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 2

Finding a decent Php 20k midrange phone with a Qualcomm chip is hard, and you’re left with two plausible options–one of them being the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. While upper midrange phones would use this chip more often, you have affordable ones like the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G that uses it while not breaking the Php 20,000 mark.

While it does not have the best GPU performance in this list, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 makes up for impressive battery life with proper software optimization. For games, our experience with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 reveals that it can run Genshin Impact at high graphics and with 60FPS enabled–but manage your expectations when it comes to average FPS.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

We’re sure people will be raising their pitchforks at us for including the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, but hear us out. Our experience with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 on the HONOR X9b, HONOR X9c, and vivo V30e shows that it is a fairly decent chip at the under Php 20k price point. It’s essentially a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with lower clock speeds, and our gaming test prove that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 can handle games well as long as you manage your expectations when it comes to graphics.

With graphics set to High at Genshin Impact, we managed to push average FPS to 42 with 90% overall stability and a peak temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, and that should be proof at how capable is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.

That wraps up the best processors on a midrange phone in the Php 20k segment for 2025. Keep this in mind when you’re buying a phone and performance is your top priority.
