Smart is not the only one with an affordable 5G phone kit priced under Php 5k: Recently, we spotted on DITO’s official Lazada page that the country’s third telco also has a 5G phone kit priced under Php 5k. For the DITO 5G phone, they are using the itel P55 5G, which we touted earlier this year as the most affordable 5G phone in the Philippines.

For the DITO itel P55 5G, the kit comes with a SIM card preloaded with Level Up 99 and one year of “Unli 5G.” To recap, Level Up 99 gives you 9GB of data for 15 days, along with unlimited texts, unlimited calls to DITO numbers, 150 minutes of calls to other networks, access to Prime Video Mobile for 30 days, and a 1GB daily data allowance for Facebook and TikTok.

A quick disclaimer about the “Unli 5G” offer: in order to avail of this, you need to be subscribed to a Level Up promo (at least Level Up 99) to enjoy it. It’s also the same strategy that DITO has for their Home 5G WoWFi kit.

While the itel P55 5G may be a year old at this point, it remains to be a solid pick for DITO as their budget-friendly 5G phone. Some of its key features include a Dimensity 6080 processor that’s paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, making it slightly better than the Blade A75 5G if storage speeds are not considered.

You also get a 50-megapixel main camera (though video recording is limited to Full HD unlike the Blade A75 5G), along with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18w charging and a 6.6-inch 90hz HD+ display.
